Hapmeet.com is strictly for personal use by individual members, enabling them to showcase and promote their profiles solely to find meaningful connections. Any form of commercial activity on the platform, including promotional or business-related activities, is strictly prohibited.
Acceptance of Terms of Use Agreement
This Terms of Use Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between HappMilan.com ("we," "us," "our") and its Members ("you," "your"). By accessing or using any of the services provided by HappMilan.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement, in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
By using our services, you consent to providing personal information, including sensitive data for paid memberships and identity verification. This information will be collected, processed, and used solely for delivering our services and facilitating communication with other Members. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register on our platform.
If you wish to withdraw your consent or have concerns regarding data collection, you may stop using our services and delete your account. To initiate account deletion, please send an email to contact@hapmeet.com from your registered email ID. Kindly note that our services cannot be provided without your personally identifiable information.
1. Eligibility
1. Marriage
Eligibility : Under Section 5(iii) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the minimum age for marriage is 21 years for males and 18 years for females. By using this site, you acknowledge that email matches or search results are based on your specified partner preferences in your profile.
Hapmeet.com may share information with third parties for member promotions; however, your prior consent will be obtained, and all shared data will remain confidential.
2. Dating
Eligibility : Users must be at least 18 years of age to access or register on the Site for its Services. By using the Services, the User represents and warrants that he or she is at least 18 years old. Certain Services may have additional age requirements, which will be specified where applicable.
Marrital Status :By using or registering for the Services, the User confirms that they are either single or legally divorced. Users who have not yet obtained a legal divorce will not be permitted to use the Services until the divorce is finalized.
Verification :By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the User authorizes Hapmeet.com (and its third-party verification partners) to conduct authentication and verification checks on the User. This verification process is essential for accessing the full range of Services provided on the Site. The verification process may be initiated and carried out under the following circumstances
- When you ask to use certain Services on the Site
- Hapmeet.com may carry out a verification check at its own discretion if needed.
2. Account Safety
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Hapmeet login credentials. Keep your password, OTP, and email secure, and never share them with anyone, as Hapmeet will never request these details. Limit access to your devices and accounts to prevent unauthorized entry. Use strong, unique passwords and update them regularly. I
f you suspect any unauthorized access or a security breach, immediately change your credentials and notify Hapmeet support. The company is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from compromised account information due to your negligence
3. User Conduct
Users must not:
- Use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activities.
- Misrepresent themselves or impersonate others.
- Post or share offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
- Engage in harassment, spamming, or unsolicited communication.
4. Content and Privacy
- You retain ownership of the content you post but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it.
- We respect your privacy and handle data according to our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and other applicable Indian laws.
5. Prohibited Activities
To maintain a safe, respectful, and genuine community, users must not engage in the following activities on Hapmeet:
- False or Misleading Profiles - Creating fake, duplicate, or misleading accounts; impersonating others; or misrepresenting age, gender, or marital status.
- Inappropriate or Illegal Content - Posting or sharing obscene, offensive, hateful, pornographic, or defamatory content.
- Harassment or Abuse - Sending threatening, harassing, or sexually explicit messages; stalking or bullying other users.
- Financial or Commercial Misuse - Asking for money, promoting businesses, or conducting transactions unrelated to Hapmeet.
- Privacy Violations - Sharing another user’s private data, messages, or images without consent.
- Security Breaches – Hacking, spreading malware, using bots, or disrupting platform operations.
- Underage Use – Registering or using the platform if under 18 years of age.
- Unlawful Activities – Using Hapmeet for fraud, scams, trafficking, or any criminal purpose.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension, permanent termination, or legal action under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian laws.
6. Termination of Services
This Termination of Service Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms under which Hapmeet (“Platform”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate access to a user’s account or services. By registering or using Hapmeet, you (“User”, “You”, “Your”) agree to abide by this Policy, along with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.
We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to the Platform, with or without prior notice, under the following circumstances:
a. Violation of Terms
- Breach of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or Community Guidelines.
- Engaging in fraudulent, misleading, or illegal activities on the platform.
- Using false, stolen, or misleading identity or verification documents.
b. Inappropriate Behavior
- Sharing or posting obscene, offensive, abusive, or harassing content.
- Attempting to bully, threaten, or exploit other users.
- Misuse of platform features for activities such as spamming, solicitation, or commercial promotion.
c. Misrepresentation and Fake Profiles
- Creating multiple or fake profiles.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity, age, or marital status
- Submitting false information during KYC or verification.
d. Security and Privacy Concerns
- Engaging in activities that may compromise user privacy, data integrity, or system security.
- Attempting to hack, modify, or disrupt the platform or its services.
e. Legal and Compliance Reasons
- When required by law enforcement, court order, or government directive.
- If your activities violate applicable local, state, or national laws.
f. Inactivity or Non-Compliance
- Long-term account inactivity (e.g., 12 months or more).
- Failure to complete KYC or verification steps within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ignoring repeated platform warnings or moderation requests.
7. Refund and Cancellation
This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs the terms under which users (“You”, “Your”, “User”) may request cancellation of services or seek a refund for any paid plans, subscriptions, or premium features on Hapmeet (“Platform”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”).
By purchasing or subscribing to any of our services, you agree to the terms described in this Policy, along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
a. Nature of Services
Hapmeet provides digital matrimony and dating related services. including but not limited to:
- Profile creation and visibility
- Match recommendations and communication tools
- Premium subscriptions for extended access and features
- Promotional or visibility boost plans
Since these are digital and instantly accessible services, refunds and cancellations are subject to specific conditions as detailed below.
b. Cancellation Policy
- Users may cancel their subscription or plan renewal at any time by visiting the “My Account” → “Plan Details” section.
- You will continue to enjoy the current plan until its expiry.
- Premium subscriptions for extended access and features
- No partial refunds will be issued for the remaining period of the active plan.
- Once cancelled, your subscription will not auto-renew.
- If you’ve opted for auto-renewal, you may disable it at any time before the next renewal date.
- Turning off auto-renewal will stop future billing but will not cancel the current active plan.
We reserve the right to cancel or suspend any user’s subscription or access if:
- The user violates the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or applicable laws.
- Payment is found to be fraudulent, unauthorized, or disputed.
- The user engages in abusive, misleading, or prohibited activities.
In such cases, no refund will be issued, and access may be terminated immediately.
c. Refund Policy
All digital and subscription-based services are considered non-refundable once activated or accessed.
- Premium membership fees
- Profile verification or visibility plans
- Add-on services (e.g., contact unlocks, chat privileges, etc.)
Exceptions for Refund
- Duplicate Payment: If you are charged twice for the same plan due to a technical error
- Transaction Failure: If your payment was deducted but the plan was not activated.
- Technical Issues: If a purchased plan fails to activate or deliver promised features due to verified technical issues from Hapmeet’s end.
To claim a refund in such cases:
- You must email proof of payment and a short description of the issue to billing@hapmeet.com within 7 days of the transaction.
- Our team will investigate and respond within 7–10 working days.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days through the original mode of payment.
d. No Refund Situations
Refunds will not be issued under any of the following circumstances:
- User changed their mind or no longer wishes to use the service.
- User deleted or deactivated their account voluntarily.
- User failed to use or access the service during the subscription period.
- Account was suspended or terminated due to violation of Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
- Services were fully delivered or used.
- User did not meet desired matches, connections, or expectations — as Hapmeet does not guarantee compatibility or successful matches.
e. Mode of Refund
If a refund is approved:
- It will be made only to the original payment source (e.g., bank account, credit/debit card, UPI, or wallet).
- No cash or third-party transfers are permitted.
- Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider, typically 10–15 business days.
f. Third-Party Payments
If you made a payment through Google Play, Apple App Store, or other third-party platforms:
- Refunds must be requested directly through those platforms, as they control the transaction and billing process.
- Hapmeet does not have access to reverse or process refunds initiated through third-party payment gateways.
g. Dispute Resolution
For any billing or refund-related dispute:
- Contact billing@hapmeet.com with your transaction details, registered email, and issue description.
- If unresolved, you may escalate to support@hapmeet.com.
- Hapmeet’s decision on refund eligibility shall be final and binding.
h. Policy Amendments
Hapmeet reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Policy at any time without prior notice

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Hapmeet provides an online platform for dating and matrimonial connections on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any user profiles, content, or services.
You acknowledge that:
- Hapmeet does not guarantee matches, compatibility, or successful relationships.
- Users are solely responsible for verifying others’ identities and exercising caution while interacting online or offline.
- Hapmeet is not liable for any personal, emotional, or financial loss arising from user interactions, false information, or misuse of the platform.
- The platform may experience technical issues, downtime, or data errors, for which Hapmeet assumes no responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hapmeet, its employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation. Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if applicable) for the service during the previous six (6) months.
By using Hapmeet, you agree that you do so at your own risk, and Hapmeet shall not be held responsible for outcomes of interactions or communications made through the platform.
9. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms of Use at any time, at our sole discretion. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated 'Effective Date' to reflect when the modifications take effect. We encourage you to review these terms periodically to stay informed about any updates. Your continued use of our services after any modifications signifies your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms of Use, you must discontinue using our services immediately. We are not responsible for notifying users individually about such changes, so it is your responsibility to check this page regularly.
10. Limitation on Liability
A. Incidental and Aggregate Damages : To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hapmeet.com shall not be liable for any incidental, special, consequential, or indirect damages arising out of or relating to your use or inability to use the Services. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:
- Recommendations or suggestions made by the Site,
- Failed marriages or relationships initiated through the Site,
- Outcomes of verification checks,
- Loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to data,
- Service interruptions, or
- Costs incurred in obtaining substitute services.
Even if Hapmeet.com is aware of the possibility of such damages, under no circumstances shall Hapmeet.com be liable for any liquidated, punitive, or exemplary damages.
B. No Liability for Actions of Others : To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hapmeet.com is not responsible for any damages, whether direct, indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential, or incidental, arising from the actions of other Users or third parties. This includes, without limitation:
- Bodily injury, emotional distress, or financial loss resulting from interactions or meetings with other Users,
- Conduct of Users registered under false pretenses, attempting to defraud, harass, or harm others,
- Failed marriages, divorces, or relationship breakdowns associated with the use of the Services
C. Information Verification Hapmeet.com and its authorized contractors may use various methods, including third-party verification services, to verify the information provided by Users. However, these methods are not guaranteed to be error-free. By using the Services, Users agree that Hapmeet.com and its contractors shall not be liable for any inaccuracies or misrepresentations in the verified information. Users are encouraged to independently verify the information of other Users before progressing any interactions
11. Indemnity
By using our Hapmeet services, you agree to protect, indemnify, and hold Hapmeet, its affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees and legal costs, arising from or related to your improper use of our services, violation of these terms, infringement of any third-party rights, or breach of any applicable laws and regulations. This indemnification obligation will persist indefinitely, even after your use of our services has ended.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement, including the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all other related policies and guidelines of Hapmeet (“Platform”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
All matters relating to your use of the Platform, including interpretation, validity, and enforcement of these Terms, shall be subject to the provisions of the following Indian legislations (as applicable and amended from time to time):
- The Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder;
- The Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
- The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021; and
- Any other law, regulation, or guideline issued by the Government of India relevant to digital, social, or matchmaking platforms.
a. Jurisdiction
You expressly agree that:
- The courts of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or relating to the use of Hapmeet or its services.
- You hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any right to object to such jurisdiction on the grounds of improper venue or forum non conveniens.
b. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Before initiating any legal proceedings, the parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve disputes amicably through internal discussion or negotiation.
- Any user who has a concern or complaint must first write to legal@hapmeet.com detailing the issue.
- Hapmeet will review and attempt to resolve the matter within 30 business days of receiving the written complaint.
1. Arbitration (If Dispute Persists)
- If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be referred to binding arbitration in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by Hapmeet.
- The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India,
- The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in the Gujarati, Hindi or English language.
- The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on both parties.
2. Costs
Each party shall bear its own legal costs, and the costs of arbitration shall be shared equally, unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.
c. Limitation on Claims
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to your use of Hapmeet must be filed within one (1) year after such claim arises; otherwise, it shall be permanently barred.
d. International Users
If you access Hapmeet from outside India:
- You are responsible for complying with all local laws applicable to your jurisdiction.
- You agree that Indian law and jurisdiction will still govern any dispute or legal action related to your use of Hapmeet, irrespective of conflict with local laws.
